Die Zahl essgest枚rter M盲dchen und Jungen w盲chst weiter.
The number of boys and girls with eating disorders is increasing.

German to english translation PLEASE?
My ex gave me a note in German today. Please translate?
F眉r dich...
Du bist sch枚n
Warum bist du nur nicht bei mir meine schatz?
Ohne dich ist alles hur(? I couldn't read it) halb so Sch枚n!
I sortof got it translated but I need to make sure its correct...
~to thee
you are beautiful
why are you "nur" not with/near(?) me my darling/sweetie/etc.?
avoid/devoid/without(?) thee is(?)("ist") everything "hur" half so beautiful!~
I think its right...German to english translation PLEASE?
The hur is probably nur = only. Without you, everything is only half as good.
For you
You are beautiful
Why aren't you with me, my love? (literally, 'treasure', but 'sweetheart' is probably closer to the idea)
Without you, things are only half as good.German to english translation PLEASE?
For you ...
You are beautiful
Without you, everything is hur half as niceGerman to english translation PLEASE?
For you鈥?You are beautiful Why are you not with me my treasure? Without you is everything hur half in such a way beautiful!
For You
You are beautiful
Why are you not with me my sweetheart (direct translation of schatz is "treasure")
Without you everything is only half as beautiful.

A guy wrote this to me in german after i asked him a question, but i dont understand what he tried to say:
ich auch m枚cchte aber Was Macht ich wen M盲dchen wie sie blind sind!!! und ich warte m盲dchen liebe badboy
und M盲dchen lieben, ungl眉cklich zu sein mit Saugn盲pfen man :(
I tried babelfish, but it translated poorly.

"I'd also like too, but what do I do if girls like her are blind? I wait but girls love bad boys. Sadly, girls love to be with jerks."
It seems to be dependent on context the full meaning
goes something along the lines of AHEM
"I like blind women they go around with these badboys, I waited for the girl to like me and yet she loves to be unhappy with this man"
im about 90% sure this is rightGerman to english translation please?

German to English Translation of 2 sentences?
I'm reading a WWII book atm and its got a picture in it of one man, one woman, each holding a sign because one is apparently Jewish and they weren't supposed to be associating with each other....So apparently the SS made them each hold up a humiliating sign at a street corner and I'm trying to figure out what the signs say but my german is so shoddy that I want to make sure I'm not misunderstanding them, especially the second one. The first one I have most of it except I have no idea what the hell a 'la脽' is and cant find it in a dictionary either.
Ich bin am Ort das gr枚脽te Schwein und la脽 mich nur mit Juden ein!
Ich nehm' als Judenjunge immer nur deutsche M盲dchen mit aufs Zimmer!
If anyone would me kind enough to translate both for me I would appreciate it.German to English Translation of 2 sentences?
Hello Sam,
The two sentences are:
1. I am the biggest pig around; I hang out only with Jews.
2. As a Jew boy, I bring only German girls to my room.
The same picture appears in my high school history book and there was the translation under the pic.
I hope I was of help.

Translation help. english to german ....?
would someone please help me translate the following paragraph auf deutsch. my german is alright, but not grammatically perfect. here is the english version... thanks a lot :) im helping out with a music program and it is with german speakers, so translation would really help.
"with time things change, but culture and values grow with us with the times. in todays program, we will take you through a musical journey to elaborate on the various themes we talked about before."Translation help. english to german ....?
A quite little correction of MuFus suggestion. I do not like a single word separated with a comma at the end of a sentence. Although it grammatically correct, it is difficult to understand such sentences. It is a question of good style.
Im heutigen Programm werden wir Sie durch eine musikalische Reise leiten, um n盲her auf die verschiedenen Themen einzugehen, die vorher besprochen wurden.
Translation of the given paragraph:
''Mit der Zeit die Dinge 盲ndern sich, aber die Kultur und Werte mit uns wachsen mit der Zeit. In der heutigen Programm, werden wir Sie durch eine musikalische Reise, n盲her auf die verschiedenen Themen sprachen wir 眉ber vor.''Translation help. english to german ....?

I only changed Rain's last sentence:

German to English Translation, please help?
I found some old papers in my Grandma鈥檚 attic and she said they are written in German. They are from my Grandpa's side but she doesn鈥檛 remember what they are from. It's a little long, I hope that's alright. The paper is faded so it was hard to make out some of the letters.

I was looking for hotel reviews when I found 1 that was marked Poor and it turns out that it is in german, can someone please translate?German to English translation bitte?
It's a hotel where "service" is an expression from a foreign planet. Information is not passed on (I'm missing something here). When asked why the information wasn't passed on, the hotel manager said "We don't work with that company". Everyone who reads this message should bypass this hotel (not sure).
No knowledge of foreign languages, no (dunno)
no currency exchange, no tips (possibly about currency exchange)
Only appropriate for people who've previously been to Canada!
Bathroom cleanliness ok, same for the room but not worth 3 stars.
Don't understand the restaurant bit.

Wenn eine Brille oder Kontaktlinsen getragen werden, ben枚tigen wir ein 盲rztliches Attest. Kann die Korrektur der Sehleistung ausschlie脽lich durch Kontaktlinsen vorgenommen werden, f眉hrt dies zur Polizeidienstuntauglichkeit.German to English translation (fluent speakers only, no net translations... thanks)?
It has already been translated so just a small addition:
There are some forms of bad eye sight which can only be efficieantly corrected with contact lenses not with glasses -if you suffer from this you are not fit for police service (in Austria also not for Army service - at least in my days).
If you are wearing contact lenses just because you feel that it looks better and glasses will do as well to correct your eyesight you must provide a certificate and can enter the police service.
The reason behind that is that contact lenses can be lost in service or should not be worn in certain circumstances (maybe under a protection mask) so if you can use glasses as backup you will be fine if not you might be a threat for your comrades or the public.German to English translation (fluent speakers only, no net translations... thanks)?
If eyeglasses or contacts are used, we need a medical certificate. If visual efficiency is only made by contacts, this leads to one being unfit for police service.
Danke, physical...und gl眉ckliches neues Jahr.German to English translation (fluent speakers only, no net translations... thanks)?
Nativexile got it, a bit clearer though:
If eyeglasses or contacts are worn, we need a medical certificate. If visual efficiency is only achieved with the contacts, the individual will be unfit for police services.
If glasses or contact lenses are worn, we need a doctor's certificate. If the sight correction can only be made using contact lenses, this will disqualify you from police service.
It means if you can *only* wear contact lenses you will not be able to work on the force. If you can wear both, you must provide a medical certificate.

If someone could please tell me what it says. These were the best copies I was sent but the originals were poor quality. So it was a little hard to read. German to English translation, please help ?

German to english translation please... ich liebe dich miene shernans mienchen?
Okay.
"Ich liebe dich" is "I love you." The second half isn't spelled correctly, but I think is probably a phonetic misspelling of "mein sch枚nes M盲dchen," which would mean "my pretty little girl."German to english translation please... ich liebe dich miene shernans mienchen?
Now: ich liebe Dich is I love you.
dich miene shernans mienchen - is not German - at least not how it is spelled.
My guess is you want to say: mein schoenes Maedchen - which would mean - my pretty girl.
My German guess: ich liebe Dich mein schoenes Maedchen
English : I love you,my pretty girl.German to english translation please... ich liebe dich miene shernans mienchen?

German to English translation of this sentence?
Hi, in a german dictionary it had an example sentance of "Er meint er sei ein harter Bursche" does this mean "he thinks he is a tough guy" or something else? If it means something else then please could you tell me what "He thinks he is a tough guy" is in german, and don't just use an online translator, because they don't normally get sentences right! Please only answer if you are experienced in german or are certain that you know what the sentence is! Many thanks xGerman to English translation of this sentence?

Sorry but nut's answer is rubbish even if it got a thumbs up.
To make it sound German it needs to be rephrased. This would be what a German would say, although there would be many possibilities:
"Ich glaube, dass ich gesund bin, weil ich mich gesund ern盲hre", or more colloquially "Ich glaube, ich bin gesund, weil ich mich gesund ern盲hre".
That actually means "I think I'm healthy because I eat healthily.Quick english to german translation?

So, I translated my friend's song to German and I want to know glaring errors. Don't expect it to be perfect, I've only finished Level 1 and my grammar got rusty over the summer.
Abridged for length. Could use better verb for "to cry," suggestions welcome.
I h艖re dich, du sprichst zu dir
Wann ist Niemand dort
Du versteckst deine still Tr葋nen
So sie str艖mt zu den Boden
H艖r genau, Liebling

Du kannst
Schrei zu mich

Renne von mich nicht
Schrei zu mich
Ich will dich halten
Weit in die Nacht
F疟r jetzt und f疟r stets
Schrei zu mich
Dein schwach Hertz kann brechen
Wenn lebst du mit wir jetzt
Hier ist es sehr schwierig
Verweil hier auf Zweifel nicht
Die Frage kann kommen
Geh ersten in dein Ende nicht
Gleich hast du willen, wenn Niemand hast Lust
F疟ll dies Welt mit dein Anmut
Sag sie jetzt
Zeig dein Gesicht

Verschwind nicht
Ich brauche dich in der N葋he

Schrei zu mich

Hi, sorry but there are quite a lot of mistakes, even though for a level 1 person, you've done quite a good job! You'd better give the English version so I can correct it. Here's what I think you meant to say:
Ich h枚re Dich, Du sprichst zu Dir selbst (you're talking to yourself)
Wenn niemand da ist (when nobody's there)
Du versteckst Deine stillen Tr盲nen (it depends on whether you want to say the tears are quiet or that the person does it quietly, in which case it would be: Du versteckst Deine Tr盲nen still)
Und sie str枚men zu Boden (and so they pour down???)
The rest is anybody's guess...
If you put the English text into yahoo, I'll translate it for you. Does it have to fit the rhythm = do the verses have to be of the same length, because that's a problem with English-German translations.
Good night for now

English->German translation of this quote, please.?
"To the world you might just be one person, but to one person you might just be the world."
It doesn't have to be literal, but along the lines of it. My german is too little to translate this from english the right way. =/ Thank you!English-%26gt;German translation of this quote, please.?
all versions are wrong i am from germany and here is the correct sentence:
"F眉r die Welt bist Du nur irgendeine Person ... aber f眉r eine Person bist Du die Welt. "
How's your translation more "correct" than the others? For starts, you've dropped the "might." ;-)
Zur Welt k枚nnten Sie nur eine Person sein, aber zu einer Person Sie k枚nnten nur die Welt sein
She was quite right. ^^^^English-%26gt;German translation of this quote, please.?
Der Welt magst Du/m枚gen Sie nur eine einzelne Person sein, aber einer einzelnen Person bist Du/sind Sie (vielleicht) die Welt.
Depends on what this is supposed to be good for. If you want to use it for Valentine's, it's of course with the "Du"s and drop the "vielleicht," if it's for counseling a sucidal person, the "vielleicht" might be in place.
I'm a native, but I doubt I would EVER say this sentence to anyone.
F眉r die Welt bist du vielleicht nur ein Mensch, aber f眉r einen Menschen bist du vielleicht die Welt.
I think in this form this could be used in German and would be quite poetical.

German to English word translation? 'Runde' in "Runde Frauen will da niemand sehen"?
"Runde Frauen will da niemand sehen"
Fluent German speakers, what would you say is the best English word for 'Runde' in that context? I understand the sentence's meaning but I'm not sure about how the connotations associated with the useage of 'Runde' would translate best in English. Round? Chubby? Big? Full-figured? Is he using the word like one would use 'Volschlank'?
I'm writing a paper on Lagerfeld and his views on fatness and getting the best translation of that specific word is important to me for it so your input would be much appreciated!German to English word translation? 'Runde' in "Runde Frauen will da niemand sehen"?
yes, "rund" here is the same as vollschlank. Depending on the tone of the paper I would go for "full-figured" (rather formal) or for "chubby" (more colloquial)German to English word translation? 'Runde' in "Runde Frauen will da niemand sehen"?

English to German translation of this:?
I'm getting a tattoo soon and it's going to say "when I lose myself I think of you" (except in german) from Tokio Hotel's song Monsoon. I know there is a German version of the song (Durch Den Monsun), but the lyrics aren't exactly the same. I don't want to use a translator because they can be so inaccurate.. I want to make sure I have the correct translation before I get anything tattooed! So how would you say "when I lose myself I think of you" in German the right way? Thanks :)English to German translation of this:?
Wenn ich mich verliere, denke ich an dich.
(great choice of words for a tattoo btw)
Charly gave you the correct answer:
Wenn ich vor mich hin tr盲ume, denke ich an dich."
Wenn ich mich verliere means when I am lost... means when I don't know where I am (like lost in a city, don't know your way back home)
Some things are "lost' in translation !!!English to German translation of this:?
It's true, "Wenn ich mich verliere, denke ich an dich." is literally correct.
I'd maybe say sth like "When I daydream I think of you" -%26gt; "Wenn ich vor mich hin tr盲ume, denke ich an dich."
Tokio Hotel = Love.
Wenn ich mich selbst verliere, denke ich an dich.English to German translation of this:?

How you translate 'you' and the verbs relating to it depends on the context, i.e. who the target audience is. If it's meant formally, then you need 'Sie', if it's not, you need 'du'. If it's for a friend, then it's 'du' and "youthinkyouknowme" has got it perfect, ignore the thumbs down on his/her answer!

I'm guessing you're talking to a friend, so here's the informal way to say it:
Um ihn zu vergessen, solltest du dir zuerst ein Hobby suchen. Es w眉rde auch helfen, wenn du versuchst einen Jungen in deinem Alter zu treffen. (Wenn m枚glich, k枚nntest du dir auch ein Haustier holen.) Ich hoffe, dass dieser Brief dir weiterhilft. Viel Gl眉ck!

edit: not that it matters, but why do i get 28 thumbs down? Just to let you know, I'm german and I know how to talk in my own language. ;)English to GERMAN TRANSLATION?
How you translate 'you' and the verbs relating to it depends on the context, i.e. who the target audience is. If it's meant formally, then you need 'Sie', if it's not, you need 'du'. If it's for a friend, then it's 'du' and "youthinkyouknowme" has got it perfect, ignore the thumbs down on his/her answer!
Zuerst sollst du ein Hobby finden, um ihn zu vergessen. Es wird auch sehr hilfsbereit sein, wenn du einen Junge in deinem Alter zu treffen versuchst. (Wenn das unm枚glich ist, kauf ein Haustier) Ich hoffe, dass du dieser Brief hilfsbereit fandest. Viel Gluck! Mit Liebe, ...

"Ohne dich kann ich nicht leben" means I can't live without you.

What does "AUF REISEN NICHT RASEN" mean in English? Seen on the back of a camper van in Scotland.German to English translation please.?
ON JOURNEYS NOT LAWNS
I use Babel Fish as a translator. They have a lot of options of language translations.
Haha, automatic translators are never wrong, don't you agree?!!! For a good dictonary go to http://dict.leo.org and you'll find out that any translation but "rasen" = speeding in this context doesn't make any sense. Don't forget to mow the lawn in your own car. Must be a very British habit...
Not sure, I haven't done German for a few years, I think it must be a play on their words or something... to rise/get up not mow?!!!! That's crazy!German to English translation please.?
It means "On journeys not lawns". Haha. Sottland people are funny. Yeah.
Reisen = travelling
Rasen = speeding, driving very fast
"rasen" is a verb not a noun in this case, a bit colloquial language but very often used
So it's:
Don't go fast while travelling.
The meaning is:
Take your time when travelling by car, enjoy your journey.kayaks used car values

I think you need to give more details....like, is it for your own knowledge (trying to understand the basic message of something in German) or is it for something formal (like a business meeting, or an essay) where you have to specificly give the words rather than the general meaning.
If youre looking for a general understanding, i suggest www.dict.cc becaues it's very useful - lots of people use it and add vocabulary and definitions, and there's an audio feature for both German and English. because the users are from all over the world, you can hear many different accents and combinations of accents for many of the words. For German to English translation should I go to www.invidasolutions.com?

What is the English translation of the German word, "Rohkst"?
do you mean "Rohkost"? that麓s crudit茅s, raw vegetablesWhat is the English translation of the German word, "Rohkst"?
Well, that's not any German word that I know (and I know quite a lot.) It would help if you could spell it properly, because that spelling is not German, either.
The closest word I could imagine to this is something to do with "rauchen", to smoke. The second person singular of this verb is "Du rauchst", 'you smoke'. If it's not that, I have no idea.

No! not in my Collins Dictionary. sorry.
traitors. correct it is verr盲ter. with "th" it`s not used any more.
The last answer is almost perfect:
The German word is "Verr盲ter" (Singular and Plural being the same, so there is no 's').
The translation (without a context) is "traitor/ traitors".
There is one possibility: "Der Name des Verr盲ters ..." = "The traitor's name ..."

German to English translation to this song: Der Tanz Der Schatten by Theatre of Tragety?
the german lyrics:
"Meine Augen sind so dunkel,
"Gleichwohl hast Du Deine Augen versteckt
Auch sind die Visionen schwarz,
Lichtschein hinter der Dunkelheit;
Schwarz wie die Nacht;
Ein Licht das mir gezeigt hat,
Der D?mmerzustand des Menschen -
Da? Du von Angst erfüllt bist.
Ist meine Zeit des Daseins."
Erz?hle mir bitte
Warum Du diese Angst in Dir tr?gst!"
"Ich bin so alleine;
Einsamkeit in Ewigkeit -
Gedanken nur für mich,
Mit dem Schatten flüstere ich -
Mit dem Schatten tanze ich -
Einsam wandere ich,
Das Blut begehre ich: Totentanz."
"Den t?dlichen Ku? zu empfangen;
"Tanze nicht mehr mit dem Schatten,
Folge der Finsternis in das Nichts! -
Tanze bitte nicht über das Grab;
Sü?er Nektar auf Deinen Lippen;
Tanze mit mir den Walzer Luzifers.
Ein Rinnsal blutfeuchtes Leben,
Ich sehne mich Deine Braut zu sein
Ich lecke die Liebe aus Deinem Gesicht,
- Um zu Finsternis zu werden."
Ich lecke den Ha? aus Deinem Gesicht."
"Ein so berauschendes Gefühl:
"Für immer und unendlich:
Meine bittere Existenz zu schmecken!"
Ein Seelsorger Deiner bin ich."
"La? mich Deinen Ku%26amp;? begrü?en;
Den selbstzerst?rerischen Ku?..."
"Gebe Dich mir hin!

Ich war so untr?stlich,

Und ich werde wieder auferstehen...
Ich liebe Dich..."German to English translation to this song: Der Tanz Der Schatten by Theatre of Tragety?

i found this on a beer mug in my attic and i'm just curious as to what it says.
"bier u. frobes lied.

I bet you got the spelling wrong -
Check the beer mug again and see whether it doesn't say:
Bier und frohes Lied
macht nie lebensm眉d
If that's the case then the sentence means:
Beer and a happy song will never make you tired of life. Or better: Beer and a happy song will prevent you from becoming suicidal.
(lebensm眉de means being depressive and tired of your life)Short german to english translation please?
Thanks as well!
it probably says: Bier u. frohes Lied = Beer and a happy / gay song
makes (errrrr. nieleben is no german word, leben = life though, but I don't understand the s) das? Leben mild (yes, think is says mild, nicht miid) mellow

Thank you!Hi - please can you check if this translation is right? german-english?
Personally, I think the English version is better than the German, with the second English version being the best. I would make these tiny changes, however:

Enclosed is a corrected copy of your advertisement. Please let us know if it is acceptable.
Thank you.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
Sincerely yours,
This whole "to whom it may concern" and "sincerely yours" is not a very proper way of addressing a letter. I don't know what country you are in, but the British English way is to write "Dear Sir or Madam" and "Yours faithfully" at the end. If you know the addressee's name, write "Dear Mr Jones or Mrs Smith" then "Yours sincerely".Hi - please can you check if this translation is right? german-english?
Your English seems perfect, and it is phrased in an "English" way, no need to worry
Presuming you want them to double check an ad they originated and contact you, both translations are fine in structure and readability.Hi - please can you check if this translation is right? german-english?

What is this?German to English translation please?
Google translation is coming up with Palatine evening. I'm thinking that Pflazer is German for Palantine.
Abend is German for evening but Pfalz is a location in southwest Germany so my guess is that it's for evening activities in Pfalz.
There's a pretty good translation program called translate.net ( yes I know it looks like a website but it's not. Not sure why the person named it that way ) that runs through a bunch of different websites for you to do translations so you might want to take a look a that.German to English translation please?

Volkstrom
Lebebsraum
reichwehr
German to English translation. (Worlds revolving around WW1 %26amp; 2)
Maybe it's a good idea to write foreign words correctly before trying to translate them, or is that asking too much from an average English speaker?
Volkssturm
Lebensraum
Reichswehr
Are you sure you spelt them right?
Like.. I've never heard of Volkstrom. Maybe you meant "volkstum". That means, "national traditions"
Lebebsraum isn't a word. Did you mean, "lebensraum"? If you did, it means "living space" or "space to live"

I would like the follow passage translated so that I can understand it. i know NO German, but I would very much like to understand what the following passages say. And I don't mean one of those worthless translations that you can get by copying and pasting into automatic translators. I would like a translator by someone who genuinely understands and writes English and German, please!

The "Uns" in the second last sentence does not make any sense, it must be a typo for "Und":
Y is learning interesting details on F's curse; those details could weigh heavily in her future decisions. However, while she is still in the forest of darkness with the queen's knight, large parts of E are burning to the ground. And such a thing only happens if the queen has finally decided in favour of R. Will Y be able to take responsibility for the return of eternal winter to F?
Yu-Na is discovering interesting details about Freya's curse, which could definitely have an effect on her future decisions. After all, while she is still with the queen's knight in the Forest of Darkness, large parts of Elisanne are burning down. Something happens to us only if the queen finally decides for Rieno! Should Yu-Na accept responsibility for the return of the eternal winter to Fantasma?A quality translation from German to English will be awarded 10 points?

German to English Translation please?
how do you translate "soll das ein Kompliment sein?" from German?? and if it what i think it is, how do you say "Yes, I do think you look sexier with longer hair"... thank you very much!! no online translator please!! xDGerman to English Translation please?
"soll das ein Kompliment sein?" .... Should this be a compliment?
"Yes, I do think you look sexier with longer hair"... Ja, ich glaube, dass ich mit l盲ngerem Haar aufreizender aussehe.
Curious Cookie's answer is already quite good but I would change some things in the sentence "Nat眉rlich! Sie sehen doch voll sexy aus mit langen Haaren!".
I would suggest this: "Klar, du siehst ziemlich sexy aus mit langen Haaren!"
You shouldn't use "Sie" in this context because it seems that you already know him quite well, "du" is more appropriate in this case.German to English Translation please?
"Soll das ein Kompliment sein?" means "Is that supposed to be a compliment?"
I would translate "Yes, I do think you look sexier with longer hair" as "Nat眉rlich! Sie sehen doch voll sexy aus mit langen Haaren!"
Totally agree with 'strng pns'!German to English Translation please?
It says "Would that be a compliment?" and sorry, I don't know how to say what you wanted in German.
the first one is "is that a compliment?" and the second one is "Ja, ich glaube, du siehst sexier mit l盲ngeren Haaren" pronounced "ya ish glaboo duh sist setxier mitlehn lang han ahg"
good luck

German to English Translation?
"eines ihrer kida mir mein" i was sent this exactly this by a girl that likes me and than she logged off shortly after, what does it mean? and don't use no translator either, they don't know what some of the words mean.
I'm sorry if some of it may have a letter out but i was hoping that after a few years of german someone would knowGerman to English Translation?
there is not much actual information transported in that sentence...
i am guessing it could be meant to mean :
eines ihrer kinder hat mir mein,,, (the important thing is missing here... )
which would translate to:
one of her (unsure who this refers to) children did sthg to sthg. belonging to the person uttering this sentence...German to English Translation?
Ummm...maybe my German education is failing me, but that makes no sense...it's like, gibberish in German....
Eines = one
ihrer = a pronoun meaning "her or hers"
mir = me
mein = mine
I have NO idea what kida means...never seen it before...German to English Translation?
I think it means "one of my kida me"
