It doesn't have to be literal, but along the lines of it. My german is too little to translate this from english the right way. =/ Thank you!English-%26gt;German translation of this quote, please.?
all versions are wrong i am from germany and here is the correct sentence:
"F眉r die Welt bist Du nur irgendeine Person ... aber f眉r eine Person bist Du die Welt. "
How's your translation more "correct" than the others? For starts, you've dropped the "might." ;-)

She was quite right. ^^^^English-%26gt;German translation of this quote, please.?
Der Welt magst Du/m枚gen Sie nur eine einzelne Person sein, aber einer einzelnen Person bist Du/sind Sie (vielleicht) die Welt.
Depends on what this is supposed to be good for. If you want to use it for Valentine's, it's of course with the "Du"s and drop the "vielleicht," if it's for counseling a sucidal person, the "vielleicht" might be in place.
I'm a native, but I doubt I would EVER say this sentence to anyone.
F眉r die Welt bist du vielleicht nur ein Mensch, aber f眉r einen Menschen bist du vielleicht die Welt.
I think in this form this could be used in German and would be quite poetical.
