Someone good with English-to-German translation please?

So, I translated my friend's song to German and I want to know glaring errors. Don't expect it to be perfect, I've only finished Level 1 and my grammar got rusty over the summer.

Abridged for length. Could use better verb for "to cry," suggestions welcome.

Hi, sorry but there are quite a lot of mistakes, even though for a level 1 person, you've done quite a good job! You'd better give the English version so I can correct it. Here's what I think you meant to say:



Ich h枚re Dich, Du sprichst zu Dir selbst (you're talking to yourself)

Wenn niemand da ist (when nobody's there)

Du versteckst Deine stillen Tr盲nen (it depends on whether you want to say the tears are quiet or that the person does it quietly, in which case it would be: Du versteckst Deine Tr盲nen still)

Und sie str枚men zu Boden (and so they pour down???)

The rest is anybody's guess...



If you put the English text into yahoo, I'll translate it for you. Does it have to fit the rhythm = do the verses have to be of the same length, because that's a problem with English-German translations.
