Translates to in english. My grandparents are from germany and are arguing that bestimmt would be proper and vorherbestimmt is somehow wrong and it the three words vor her bestimmt. I want it as a tattoo so I need a real german here to help me with this please! It should basically translate to "the future is not predetermined. There is no fate. Everything is in our hands."Need help! German to english translation.?
The German sentences are correct. Vorherbestimmt (predetermined) is standard contemporary German (also: vorbestimmt), and written in one word. 'Bestimmt' (determined) would strike me as slightly odd in this sentence.
