darf man erfahren(roughly:may we know),wer(who) du(you) bist(are).

As far as translating "Gruss Bony",since both words are capitalized,that might be a name.But,"Gruss" in english means "Greating", so maybe Bony greated someone with those words.Can anybody give me an accurate English translation of these German lines?
May one enquire [or "may I enquire" -- literally "may one learn"] who you are? Regards Bony.
