English to German translation: Native translator's would be most helpful.?

I am travleing to Germany in August to visit my friend and his family. How do I say to his parent: "Thank you for inviting me into your home and helping me come to Germany. I have brought gifts to show my appreciation." Pronunciation tips will be appreciated.

Also when I address his parents do I use Mr. and Mrs., and what's another formal way to show respect to German parents?English to German translation: Native translator's would be most helpful.?

To his parents you can say "Herr %26lt;last name%26gt; and "Frau %26lt;last name%26gt;" or you use the formal pronoun "Sie", e.g. "K枚nnen Sie mir helfen?" (Can you help me?). I'm sure, they'll understand Mr. and Mrs as well, but I think it would be nice to use the German terms.
