In memory of

Mrs Phoebe Huppe

Died 3rd September 1887 at the age of 40

A treasure has gone from us

And her voice is still

Empty is the void where here on earth

She will never appear.

The Lord took from us His rich gift

We readily accede to this before Him,

The discarded husk lies in the grave,

The soul is with the Lord.Help with English Translation of German Text?
To the memory of/ Commemorating

Ms/ Mrs Phoebe Hoppe

who died on September 3, 1887, aged 40.

A gem/ treasure has departed us,

and its voice is still/silent;

empty is the place/ spot down here

where it will never show again.

God took his rich gift from us:

to Him we willingly bow.

The dear body rests in the grave/ tomb

the soul is with the Lord.

Have tried to keep the rhymes but it wouldn't work. Hope this helps.
