What is the english translation of the german phrase "heut knallts"?

it means watch out! something is going to happen today...

knallts from the german verb knallen = to make a sound like a bang. an explosion going off or a a shot beeing fired or a whip making that sound...

i am guessing someone uttering that phrase is just trying to get himselff fired up. like in anticipation of something wild going to happen... often in regard to a possible fight i would say... an escalation of some sort... but could just mean to be wild and have fun...

also
