We have an old egg cabinet with what we think says "Frilche Cier." on it. If anyone could translate that from German (or possibly Dutch) to English or tell us a German phrase that is similar, that would be helpful. Thanks.German translation to english?
Frisch is German for fresh
Eier is German for eggs.
A couple tips:
the letter 's' in the Fraktur script used in most historical artefacts in German can take several forms, including a nearly vertical line. This is probably your lower case 'L'.
A curved capital [majuscule] 'E' can look like an embellished 'C'.
thus,
"fresh eggs"
Frilche Cier makes no sense...
Frische Eier means "fresh eggs."German translation to english?
It is a name. Maybe the name of the person who made the cabinet.
It must be the manufacturer or a persons name. No such words in German or Dutch.German translation to english?
Eggs? Is it possible that it says Frische Eier? Fresh eggs!
I think it says "Frische Eier" and that means "fresh eggs" in English.
This is just a guess, but perhaps it says: "Frische Eier." Which would mean (unless my German has gotten REALLY rusty) "fresh eggs" . . .
i think it might be "Frische Eier" - fresh eggs
German:
"Frische Eier" - fresh eggs
