I'm designing myself a tattoo with German script.

It's my third language, and I think it's all right, but I want to be absolutely certain.

Keine recken vorkommen hier



The first one should say: We're going back to Nothing

and the second should say: No heroes to be found here

I'm a native. That doesn't sound like modern german. No one uses the word "Recke" anymore. It's really old fashioned. And it doesn't mean Heroes. It means Soldier.





If you want it to sound like old german you could say this. That would sound like a part from an old german poem.



Wir kehren zum Nichts zur眉ck. We return to find nothing./we return to emptiness

Der Helden Zeiten sind vorbei. the times of the heroes are over.

Weit und breit kein Held in Sicht (there is no heroe , where ever you look)



the first one would be my choice if i was into war stuff.



If you wanna stick to your words, the word order should be like that.



Wir kehren zum Nichts zur眉ck.

Recken kommen hier nicht vor.



But it sound awkward, because Recken sounds so old, and the german verb "vorkommen" doesn't match the old fashioned tone. And "wir kehren zum Nichts zur眉ck" sounds old but great and somehow wise, and the second one just... blah



so maybe



Wir kehren zum Nichts zur眉ck.

Der Recken Zeiten sind vorbei.
