ok, my friend sent me a bunch of text messages with these phrases. I asked her what they ment but she wouldn't tell me. I looked at a German-English dictionary but a lot of the words mean different things. Can anyone please help?!!!

3. Kann ich benutzen?

4. Konnten sie?

5. Verstehen sie das?

1. Kann ich? = Can I?

2. Kann ich haben? = Can I have?

3. Kann ich benutzen? = Can I use?

4. Konnten sie? = Could you (also could they)?

5. Verstehen sie das? = Do you understand this?
